It's time for another update...it feels like April just started and now the month is done!
The month started with Olivia spending a week at Grandma and Papa Larry's house. She had a really good time and got to play with Molly and in her sandbox. Lincoln and I also enjoyed our week to ourselves. We even made a trip out to Maple Creek to see Daddy for a few days. We came back just in time for Easter in Brooks at GG and Pa's house. Olivia had fun decorating eggs and finding all the candy the Easter bunny left for her. Since she has turned 2, holidays have become more and more fun as she actually starts to understand what is going on and gets excited for Santa, the Easter Bunny, etc.
After Easter, we had a couple weeks of GREAT weather in Medicine Hat. Sunny, over 20 degrees....wonderful! We spent a lot of time outside tanning, playing at the park or going for walks. I have started running as well and really enjoy getting out by myself for a run in the evening or on weekends when Cam is home. Last week the weather went back to crap....22 on Sunday and then snow and rain on Monday...what a country we live in! We are all so ready for summer....trips to Echo Dale, swimming in the pool, gardening....come on already!!
Lincoln turned 6 months old this month! AHH! Where is the time going? He has made so many changes this month and is getting to be such a big boy. He army crawls and gets up on all fours, should be crawling anytime. The past couple days he has been pulling himself up on his knees on his toys and furniture! He loves exploring the house and crawls to the bottom of the stairs and whines until you move him to the kitchen so he can explore a new room. He can sit up by himself and for the most part gets himself down gracefully.
This month has also been the beginning of the end of breastfeeding. In the past few weeks, he has started to love his bottles and recently refuses to breastfeed during the day. So far, he still likes to breastfeed before bed, if he gets up at night and first thing in the morning...if I get to him early enough. Although I am sad that it is ending, I am enjoying the freedom of the bottle again. He can already hold it himself, so he likes to sit and feed himself while I get something else done.
